5 infrastructure needs of Chandapura residents
The tech city Bangalore is
one of the developed cities of India with its development progressing to be at
par with high tech cities of the world. With many high profiles IT companies
building their effective branches in the city, Bangalore also should have a
good infrastructure foundation and facilities to support the ongoing
establishment of properties across Bangalore and especially the Chandapura locality
of the city. This is because with the lack of proper infrastructure, if any
corporate finds out the inefficiency of establishing their business in the
city, they would automatically divert and look for other feasible locations in
the country. This would lead to lacking of the development of the tech city
Bangalore.
The residents of Chandapura
are facing a huge shortage of infrastructure. Infrastructure facilities are
also lacking for the companies who look forward to building their offices in
this location. Like there is a lack of flyover in the area to curb the regular
traffic commotions which disrupts regular schedules of the people. The
residents of Chandapura suffer from regular traffic congestions which states
the city is gridlocked and there is no scope of development in traffic. A study
shows that the roads in Chandapura are operating with vehicles two times their
capacity. This shows the huge upsurge of the number of vehicles and population
in the area and the city.
The city of Bangalore,
which is one of the growing cities in India, is indeed suffering from an infrastructure
overhaul. Currently Bangalore has added six times its population in the last
decade. In comparison to the rapid population growth, the city hasn’t been able
to provide the required infrastructure needs and facilities for the people
which have led to drastic conditions. The city urban infrastructure facilities
aren’t able to keep up pace with the rapid growth. A good example of the
lacking infrastructure and planning is the eight-lane flyover establishment project
in Bangalore which would be connecting the West Bangalore portion to the main
city. It has been stagnant and in the making from many years till today.
The residents of Chandapura
are also struggling for an adequate supply of constant power. This is a prime
factor affecting daily schedules of people living in the city. Power has also
become a huge worry for plots in Chandapura and the different companies located in the city. The city constantly
faces long power cuts due to the failure of different hydro power generation
units at specific times.
Shortage of water is
another lack of infrastructure of the residents of Chandapura. This is because
of the water reservoirs of the city being depleted leading to drought. The
catchment area of the Cauvery River, which is a major source of water for the
tech city Bangalore, has gone dry and fruitless. As such, the government led to
increasing the power and water tariffs to meet the upsurge demand.
In a bid to meet the
infrastructure demands of Chandapura and the city, the administration are
looking forward to projects which would strengthen the infrastructure of
Bangalore. These include different skywalks which would be built to ease
traffic congestions and to reconstruct many street markets and state
governmental establishments in the prime locations of the city.
